Driving Times / Routes:
From Denver International Airport to Crested Butte:
Take Pena Blvd. south to Interstate 225 south to Interstate 25 north to US Highway 285 (Hampden) south. Follow 285 to Poncha Springs, then take US Highway 50 west to Gunnison. From Gunnison, follow the sign to Highway 135 north into Crested Butte. Distance: 231 miles, drive time approx. 5 hours.
From Colorado Springs to Crested Butte:
Take Highway 24 west to US Highway 285, Highway 285 south to Poncha Springs, US Highway 50 west to Gunnison, then Highway 135 north into Crested Butte. Distance: 197 miles, drive time approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes.
THE NORDIC INN is located in Mt. Crested Butte, just one block from the ski lifts. From Crested Butte, continue on Highway 135 three more miles up to Mt. Crested Butte. About another block after you go under a pedestrian overpass, turn right on Treasury Road. We are located one block down Treasury.
Please NOTE: For directions to Crested Butte from other directions, please call us at 1-800-542-7669. We do not recommend the route mapping search engines for the mountains as they tend to include roads better suited for technical jeeping.

Ground Transfers:
Alpine Express offers round-trip airport transfers from the airport to The Nordic Inn. Advance reservations are required and can be included in your reservation. Or you can make your reservations directly with them at 1-800-822-4844.
Free Transportation:
Mt. Express Bus Service is a free bus shuttles running between Mt. Crested Butte to the Town of Crested Butte. Check: http://www.crestedbutte-co.gov for current schedules. There is also a free bus shuttle connecting the Gunnison Valley from Gunnison to Mt. Crested Butte with stops along the way. Check: http://gunnisonvalleyrta.org for current schedules.
This is not an airport shuttle service, no luggage is allowed.
